Training Simulators or SIMs

 A new dimension to your training path is the Simulator or "SIM". You may take them on line or as part of a Certification or Hands On Course. The SIM takes you into a "Virtual Shop" and gives you a diagnostic scenario complete with repair order, tools and on some versions, a pop up coach to help guide you through. A SIM can also have a version of SI built right into it or it may have the trainee use the SI website at the same time by minimizing each window and working back and forth between the two programs. 

  As you progress through the SIM, you may be asked to view Tech 2 data or check wiring on a simulated schematic, go for a test drive or check out a radio noise - all from the comfort of your PC! You can get some work done without getting your hands dirty, sounds like a bargain to me!
