Dealerworld ID and Password Required in Hands On Classes and Certification

Effective Immediately, service techs will be required to bring a valid Dealerworld ID and password to Hands On as well as Certifications!

Why the change?

When Service Information (SI) finishes integrating into Dealerworld, it will "shut off" the access previously used by the training centers. These were "generic" usernames and passwords that were given to the different centers for student access only. Going to specific ID and password parameters gives the site administrators a better handle on traffic as well as being able to monitor any abuse. This helps the overall functionality of the SI website by speeding it up and will be a plus to those who need information right away.

What you should do...

It is highly recommended that you review Program Letter #05-009 (a copy can be found at gmtraining.com) that explains the change. If you do not have a password or ID of your own and/or it is shared with other dealership personnel, consult with the Partner Security Coordinator (PSC). Ask the management at your dealer to hook you up with the PSC at your store if you do NOT have your own individual ID and password. It is also recommended that you try your specific ID and password to make sure it works, by logging onto GMDealerworld.com.

For security purposes, technicians attending Hands On or Certification will be able to access Dealerworld only with their Dealership provided ID and password. Service techs who do NOT have their dealer specific ID and password with them at Hands On or Certification, will NOT be able to access SI!
